For the ISTD 2017 brief, I chose brief 5 reviving a deadwood, and my book is on Aristotle’s Metaphysics form, matter and identity.
I chose to revive or celebrate it in a digital format, in this case a responsive website. The book is considerably long (heavy to carry) and very tedious (boring). On top of that, difficult to understand. However, spending some time on it I have begun to understand some concepts.
Putting together all what I have learnt, the research I have made, the contemporary thoughts of and putting it together to create a responsive website. That can meet the needs of the contemporary typographers.
Tying into the challenges, I have provided the solutions as thus:
1. The book is considerably long (heavy to carry) - responsive website, digital, and mobile friendly and can be accessed from anywhere, provided there is internet of course.
2. Very tedious (boring) - It is responsive, elements jump around and I have separated the text into small manageable chunks and separated the sections with define colours.
3. On top of that, difficult to understand - I have included youtube videos (they made me understand half of the book).
